About Chris
Chris as a child loved to ride his bike, play sports and also enjoyed shooting at the family’s ranch house. During the summers, Chris would often work with his father’s business learning much about how to run a small business and hard work. Upon becoming 16 Chris obtained a job and continued working straight through high school and college with other jobs as a Valet driver, salesman, and computer tech at Circuit City. Once Circuit City shut down he started a job with a marketing firm that trained employees of Best Buy, Sears and Costco working as a manufacture rep for LG and Samsung. While going to college for his degree in business management Chris also worked with a non-profit group to teach people for free about firearm education and safety. Many of his students were Boy Scouts, 4H, other college students and many others. From his non-profit venture started his first company Alamo Defense (Alamodefense.net) which is named after his ancestor, an Alamo defender. Alamo Defense Firearms training customers include military contracts, police, private security and primarily trains qualified applicants to become firearms instructors all over the U.S.
Chris planned to work for a large company with his business degree(Texas A&M) but the time of graduation 2007 was the beginning of the recession in the U.S. This ended up to be a blessing in disguise as Chris started his first companies: a firearms training company and a valet business. As the recession worsened the Valet business got worse while firearms training business boomed. Among this period Chris started inventing his first product for the VW Jetta (jettatrunk.Com). Out of necessity he found a design flaw that continued to break on VW Cars and solved it and started selling online with orders still selling all over the world to this day.
With the Jetta Trunk product selling on his website he decided that the inventing and product industry was much more rewarding than the service industry. Chris’s next product came from seeing many ways to lock up handguns, shotguns but nothing for AR-15 rifles. After a string of mass shootings with AR-15 rifles Chris became very passionate about his idea to have a simple locking system for AR-15 rifles that would have quick access for user but effectively keep it out of the hands of children and criminals. ARmA15 (Patent Pending) took over a year for R&D and prototyping and is now selling very well on Arma15.Com. Customers including FBI, U.S. Military, dozens of Police departments and many regular everyday Americans to keep their AR-15’s from getting into the wrong hands.
Chris for fun enjoys hiking and the great outdoors as well as competition shooting on a local and national level, mountain biking, basketball as well as country dancing.
